6. Your content
You keep all rights to the material you upload and to the output generated from it (together, "your content"). You grant Study Slay a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to provide the Service to you: for example to transcribe a recording, send text to our AI provider to produce notes, show a note on a share link you created, or back up our systems. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backup copies that expire on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the right to upload it and to have it processed as described, that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights, and that uploading it does not break the rules of your school, university or employer (for example rules on recording lectures or sharing course material). When you record a lecture, obtain any permission the law or your institution requires.
We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train AI models. We look at individual content only when needed to provide support you asked for, to investigate a reported violation, or when the law requires it.
Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to student@studyslay.com with your contact details, a description of the work, the location of the material (for example a share link), a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We remove or disable infringing material and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
