What you get
Notes you can actually revise from
Every note follows the same shape, so you always know where to look. A TL;DR with the most testable ideas sits at the top. Below it comes an overview of what the material is about, then one section for every major part of the source in the source's own order, so you can read the notes next to the slides, with memory anchors and comprehension checks wherever the material offers them.
Each section holds definitions, mechanisms as numbered steps, worked examples and the review questions the material itself offers. The note ends with a key terms table, a formulas and figures section where every symbol is named, a list of common pitfalls, an exam focus block with the questions most likely to come up, and a one-line key takeaway.
The notes stay faithful. Numbers, units, dates, names and formulas are kept exactly as the source states them, contested claims are attributed to the author rather than asserted, and nothing is invented to fill a gap. Long material is read in parts and merged so the end of a three-hour lecture gets the same care as the start.
How it works
Three steps, no setup
01
Add your material
Drop a PDF, Word, PowerPoint or Excel file, paste text, add a YouTube link or a web page, record a lecture or upload audio. Mix sources in one note, for example the slides and the recording of the same class.
02
Leo reads and writes
Generation runs in the background on our servers. Close the tab if you like; the dashboard shows the stage it is at and the note appears in your library when it is ready, usually within one to two minutes.
03
Study and keep it
Read the notes on any device, file them in folders, share a read-only link, export a PDF, or translate them into two more languages on Pro. The same note powers your flashcards, quiz and chat.
In detail
What makes it good
Structure
Overview, sections, key terms, pitfalls, exam focus
The same seven-part shape for every note, so revision has a rhythm instead of a wall of text.
Faithful
Nothing invented, nothing dropped
Facts, figures and formulas are kept as the source states them. Opinions are attributed. Gaps are left honest.
Formulas
Maths and chemistry rendered properly
Equations are written in LaTeX and rendered cleanly on screen and in the PDF, with each symbol explained.
Scanned pages
Photos and scans are read too
Image-only PDFs and photos of handwritten notes or whiteboards are transcribed with vision before the notes are written.
Languages
Your language, or the source's
Notes follow the language of the material by default. Choose another in Settings, or translate a finished note on Pro.
Take it with you
Share, export, file
A read-only link for classmates, a clean PDF for printing, plain text for your own tools, and folders to keep terms tidy.
Why it matters
The note is where the whole loop starts
- 1.Flashcards and the quiz are written from the same notes, so what you review is exactly what you were taught.
- 2.Leo answers questions from the note and cites the section, so you can check every claim in one tap.
- 3.Mastery tracking shows how many quiz passes and card reviews you have done per note, so revision has a finish line.
- 4.Add a source later and the notes, deck and quiz are rebuilt around the fuller picture.

PDF (including scanned), Word, PowerPoint, Excel, text and Markdown files, photos of notes, audio files, lecture recordings made in the app, YouTube videos with captions and most web articles. Up to three sources per note on the free plan and ten on Pro.
The notes are written only from your material, keep numbers, names and formulas as stated, and attribute contested claims to the author. Like any AI output they can still misread a passage, so check anything that matters against the source. The transcript and the original file stay attached to the note for that reason.
Most notes are ready in one to two minutes. Long recordings and large files can take up to five. Generation continues on our servers even if you close the page.
Yes. Notes follow the language of the source by default. Pick a different notes language in Settings for new notes, or, on Pro, translate a finished note into two more languages and switch between them.
Yes. Open the note, choose Add source, and the notes, flashcards and quiz are generated again with the extra material included.
No. Your files and notes are processed only to produce your study material and are never used to train models, by us or by our AI provider.
